Modamorfose
“A arte e a moda em diálogo, numa surpreendente mistura, na qual a desconstrução das mesmas e a sua interacção nos colocam perante peças nas quais a fronteira entre a arte e a moda se fundem num fantástico exercício estético.”
Na fotografia de moda tenta-se chegar à perfeição impossível, ou à beleza idílica. Para isso fotografa-se de uma forma "kalashnikov" em que são disparadas 200 a 500 imagens para utilizar somente 1.
Ricardo Quaresma Vieira apresenta um novo trabalho em que recorre ao seu arquivo fotográfico de moda dos últimos anos para criar uma nova obra artística. As milhares de imagens resultantes dos shootings de moda, que normalmente nunca são mostradas, ficando em arquivo digital, são a base para "Modamorfosear" um novo objecto artístico. Cerca de 7000 imagens compõem cada obra. O reaproveitamento do arquivo fotográfico sugere uma "reciclagem digital contemporânea"; as imagens escondidas ou esquecidas nos discos rígidos são utilizadas como mosaico para a construção de uma obra mais plástica e única, distanciando-se dos cânones da moda, apesar de a utilizar como meio.

In all kinds of work - artistic or not - things happen and people meet each other. We live unrepeatable and very personal moments that usually are never exposed. This new work of Ricardo Quaresma Vieira shows unquiet moments with different lives and specific ambiance's, full of characters and things with no care for the surrounding theatric atmospheres.
This show shows the other side of the life and several situations of the author, from the multi-disciplinarily aesthetic to the unpublished moments.
